Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Adovor, Founder and Executive President of Hope and Living Your Best Life Now Foundation said Ghana is a blessed land full of natural resources and several opportunities, which could be explored by the youth for their economic benefits.

He said traveling to other parts of the world is very good and full of adventure, but this should be embarked upon after all the necessary documentation has been done in order to avoid becoming an illegal immigrate in other countries.

Mr Adovor gave the caution on Wednesday at a Peace and Emancipation Crusade Public Lecture in Accra.

He spoke on the topic Alleviation and Eradication of Poverty, Prevention of Illegal Immigration by the Youth, and Prevention of Violence and Conflicts.

He said globally over years, illegal immigration had led to the deaths of several thousands of people on the high seas, across the Sahara desert and in countries of their destination.

He advised the youth to have faith in Ghana and to believe in themselves that they can succeed in their own land.

Mr Adovor using his own life as a living testimony warned the youth to desist from illegal immigration, urging them to consider taking up entrepreneurship in order to create opportunities for themselves.

He described poverty as the underlining cause of illegal immigration, violence and conflicts in many parts of the world.

Mr Adovor said inequality in the distribution of wealth and corruption are the breeding grounds of poverty in the society.

He further urged the youth to see politics as a call to sacrifice for the good of the nation and not as money making venture.
