The Headmaster for Nkawkaw Senior High School, Mr. Ampofo Owusu Twum has appeal to the government and NGOs to help the school to get Staff bungalow, Dining hall, School bus, Administration Block, and to repair the road networks in the school which are in bad stage.
Mr. Twum made these known to the paper and said, since the school was established, it lacks logistics to move its academic performance forward, though the school has good track records and has achieved a lots in terms of athletics, quiz competition, and numerous awards which are uncountable but faces challenges which needs urgent help to moved on.He averred that, the school has over 1200 students with 90 staff, but the school lacks Dining hall, Assembly hall, ICT laboratory, School bus, Staff accommodation, master?s bungalow, school sick base, and even master?s vehicle for an Administrative work.
Also fees payment are the major challenge to the school, which over GH Cedis 1000 are in debt and has seized the management from doing any projects in the school, whereby he appeal to parents to pay the fees, as he stated.
According to the headmaster, most of the students whom their parents give them the fees cash in hand normally spend the money wasted, unless they are been sack before payment will be made, and advice the parents to pay the fees in bank overdraft, so that the student present the receipts to the school for records in order for their wards not to spend the fees.
He finally appeal for urgent support from the government to assist the school to get new Assembly hall, dining hall, school bus with among others and to repair the spoil roads networks in the school which normally creates dust to disturbs teaching and learning activities in order to achieve the school aim.
