…As PPP candidate donates to school

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Akropong Constituency in the Eastern Region, Kwaku Fredua-Agyeman, last Saturday made a cash donation of GH¢1,000 (One thousand Ghana cedis) to the Larteh Presbyterian Primary School during the school’s open-day ceremony.

The donation was the PPP parliamentary aspirant’s contribution towards improving education in his constituency. A similar donation was made by Mr Fredua-Agyeman to the School for the Deaf in Akropong.

Making the presentation to the headmistress of Larteh Presbyterian Primary, Mr Fredua-Agyeman explained that the donation was to help improve facilities at the school and to give the children the best of education.

“I believe that education is the gateway to opening doors and as our future kings and queens and future leaders it was imperative that we help them by giving them the best of education,” the PPP parliamentary candidate for Akropong asserted.

Mr Fredua-Agyeman also promised to make available two sets of computers and assist the school to put a library facility.

“…I have personally been involved in the construction of the library and would stock it with books upon its completion,” he promised.

Mr Fredua-Agyeman, who is a board member of the Akropong School for the Deaf, said he was impressed with the brilliance of the pupils hence the need for him to assist them.

The headmistress of the school, Ms Agartha Amoah, expressed her outfit’s gratitude to Mr Fredua-Agyeman.

She gave the assurance that the donation will go into the improvement of facilities in the school which will help in the education of the school children.

Present at the ceremony was the Member of Parliament for the constituency, W.O. Boafo who also donated two sets of computers to the school.
