The Mainland representatives in the Africa Champions League, Young Africans, will go into the tournament’s preliminary round, first leg match without serious preparations.

Mediocre preparations make it that Yanga have lost hope in their first leg encounter against Zamalek.

The teams will lock horns in the first leg match on February 18 at the National Stadium.

Yanga coach Kostadin Papic has said the team will not camp outside Dar es Salaam as earlier expected to prepare for the game.

The club chairman, Llyod Nchunga, said yesterday that the Serbian tactician had earlier proposed that the side camp in Mwanza ahead of the clash and later revised his decision, saying the team can remain in the city.

“The coach has said that we will not camp outside Dar es Salaam until we play the Egyptian side,” Nchunga elaborated.

Before the Mwanza plans, the coach had also suggested that the team camp in Bagamoyo, in which he did not succeed.

The teams will meet in the return leg after two weeks in Cairo, Egypt.
