Currently, staff of the Tema Shipyard are busily working on five vessels for the first time in five years with many other vessels waiting for their turn at the anchorage.
The facility has also started attracting key investors due to the acreage of land and facilities available.
Staff are also giving off their best in the discharge of their duties following assurances from the Director General of GPHA, Richard Anamoo who promised them of a brighter future if they show high level commitment to their duties.
The Acting CEO of the Shipyard, Captain Kwesi Micah said the facility is bouncing back.
He said the facility is turning around vessels in a very quick way hence attracting more vessels to the facility which is the largest in the West African sub region.
He said efforts are also ongoing to clean the shipyard and make it environmental friendly.
Darlington Impraim, one of the Production Manager said the staff are showing high level of commitment in order to ensure that quality service is rendered to vessels.
He commended GPHA for the leadership shown which he attributed to the enthusiasm the staff are exhibiting.
