Dar es Salaam Regional Football Association’s general election will be held on March 18.

The chairman of the electoral committee, Muhidin Ndolanga, said forms for the elections were available to aspirants by yesterday.

Available posts for the elections include chairmanship and vice, secretary general and treasurer.

Ndolanga said aspirants have to part with 500,000/- as a fee to obtain the forms.

However, those aspiring to contest for the post of representing premiership clubs at the Tanzania Football Federation’s  annual general assembly will collect the forms at a reduced fee of  300,000/-.

The forms for the post of DRFA’s executive committee membership are available at 200,000/-.

Ndolanga said the forms are available until February 12 and must be filled and returned to beat the February 14 deadline.

The electoral committee is expected to announce to the public the line-up of those aspirants on February 15.

The former football body chairman, Ndolanga, said two days have been set a side to give room for those who intend to lodge petition against the contestants.

The electoral committee will be patient to wait for results of the petition that will be worked out by the football federation.

Undisputed names of the aspirants will be made to the public on February 22 and allowed to campaign up to March 17.

Ndolanga said his committee is expected to conduct free and fair polls without bias.

Elected officials of the DRFA will be eligible to represent the regional body at the TFF’s general assembly set for two days from March 24.
