Having won the International competitive tender bidding process after a thorough evaluation of bids submitted by twelve companies (eleven international and one local), for the Sierra Leonean International Gateway Monitoring System contract late 2016, Subah Infosolutions Ghana Limited has made significant progress in rolling out the installations of technical equipment and technology that will see the Accra-based company help Freetown not only rake in more revenue but in addition stop Simbox fraud in that Country.

Progress

Revenue
Large amounts of revenue are lost each year through customers defaulting on their payment commitments. As a result, Governments, their revenue agencies and private organizations are looking for ways to recoup not only their investments but also revenues and profits through efficient and effective means. These is what the authorities in both Sierra Leone saw in the Subah bid and offered it the contract to execute. Subah will effectively monitor quality of service in real time on international voice and data traffic.
With these, the Sierra Leonean authorities say Simbox fraud will soon become a thing of the past. Admittedly, poor and ineffective monitoring of the country’s gateway system made Sierra Leonean government lose close to a US$1million a month in revenue. “We cannot continue to register such huge losses in revenue generation any more”, these sentiments were expressed.
