The Headmistress of St.Peters Anglican School in Koforidua, Mad. Mary Otoo has appealed to the Government through the Ministry of Education to construct additional classroom blocks for the school as it faces serious challenges with the number of students.
According to her, the school has not seen any renovation works sinceit was established.
Speaking in an interview with The Moment, the Headmistress pointed out that as a result of the dilapidated nature of the infrastructure, class are brought to an end anytime it rains.
She also emphasized that the school, which was established about eighty years ago now has a population of over four hundred students.
She disclosed that still runs the shift system because of unavailability of classrooms.
She therefore urged parents not to neglect the responsibilities of catering for the upbringing of their children, especially in education.
??Let?s join hands together in educating the youths to know what to do at the right time as education is not only subjected to classroom work but variety of activities which include sanitation?? she added.
