wpid-PDP-logo110.jpgThe People?s Democratic Party, PDP?s desperation to win the 2015 Presidential Elections has taken a new low as the party is willing to offer any House of Assembly member a whooping $2m (N350million) to decamp.

According to our impeccable source, who is close to the camp of the PDP headquarters, many members of the top opposition, the All Progressives Congress, APC, are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to enjoy the largesse of the PDP.

?Do not be surprised if you see many APC members decamp to the PDP very shortly, because the plan is already in motion, starting with Ribadu,? the source who pleaded anonymity informed.

Global Village Extra?can also report that many House of Assembly members are already signifying their interests to the extent that they are willing to sell their souls for the money.

Our reliable source further informed that, ?I believe that most of the politicians who call themselves progressives, will be humbled when they get the alert from their various banks indicating that a whopping N350 million is already in their bank accounts?.

If the reports from the top source close to the PDP Headquarters are anything to go by, the defection of former Economic and Financial Crimes Control, EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu from APC to the PDP may yet justify the claims.

Ribadu, who was the presidential flagbearer of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, changed loyalty when it was apparent that he couldn?t get the nod to emerge as APC?s presidential candidate at next year?s election.

The former key figure at the APC would later inform journalists that, ?there is no difference between APC and PDP? and that, ?I joined the PDP to serve the people because politics is all about service to the people?.

He has subsequently picked the form to emerge as the gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa, where reports have it that he didn?t join PDP solely for the governorship ticket.

While APC may be reeling from the likely effects of Ribadu?s defection, it is yet to be seen how he will stave off the fierce challenge of the likes of ?Buba Marwa, Umaru Fintiri, and eight other candidates who have reportedly picked up forms in the state as well.
