The National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) has hinted that on 15th April it will outdoor a speed radar gun machine to check abuses on the roads.
David Adonten, the Director of Planning at the NRSC made the disclosure at the Ministry of Transports? quarterly road safety walk in Accra over the weekend.
The radar will be linked to your data at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).
Any traffic offence you commit anywhere will be immediately picked up by DVLA and the appropriate sanction meted to you, Adonten told Spy Ghana.
Speaking at the event that witnessed about 800 attendants, Siisi Essuman-Ocran advised drivers to be more careful even as we approach Easter and obey the speed limits to avoid carnage on our roads.
When you board a vehicle, it is a social contract between you and the driver. The driver is expected to drive you safely to your destination.
If the driver misbehave you have the right to report him, Adonten added.
