The National Health Insurance Authority will by the end of this month, extend the second phase of the capitation programme to Upper East, Upper West and the Volta Regions after the pilot phase in the Ashanti Region.
The exercise which will be under the supervision of the Ministry of Health will take on another set of regions until the whole country is covered.
Ms. Sherry Ayittey outgoing Minister of Health said this when she took her turn at the ?Meet the Press? series.
She explained that the introduction of the capitation is not to punish anyone but to clear the system of corruption.
