Impeccable information DAILY GUIDE has gathered indicates that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is bent on creating confusion in certain constituencies perceived to be the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 general elections.
DAILY GUIDE has intercepted a document purportedly prepared by the ruling NDC which has the details of how the ruling party would connive with officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to create confusion in the strongholds of the NPP on the election day.
The document had an initial code ?Served loyalty with distinction?..Ok? a coded language presumably understood by the recipients.
The document, dated November 28, 2012, and allegedly being distributed to polling agents of the ruling NDC, called on the agents to partner with security personnel at the various polling centres to convince EC officials not to allow for verification in the opposition?s strongholds which could stir up controversy and confusion in those areas.
The document indicated that the targeted areas of the alleged diabolic NDC?s machination included the 45 constituencies in the Ashanti Region and some constituencies in the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions.
According to the one-page document, another means by which confusion could be created in the strongholds of the NPP was convincing EC officials to load wrong polling station data into the verification machine. It said such wrongful loaded machines would break down after five hours of usage.
?The situation will reduce frequency in party strong hold (SH), referring to NDC, but increase frequency in opposition strong holds (OSH) referring to NPP and get the party agents to sign their portion of results declaration forms before poll close,? the message added.
The document also urged officials of the EC to encourage advance tearing of ballots and stamping under the guise of speeding up the process at the selected areas.
It mentioned that the environment, lighting, stress device condition, speed of device and response could affect the verification process.
?We need more whistle blowers at these selected polling stations. We equally need to raise red flag on some EC officials generally but most importantly counter influence some. This is the latest.? it stated.
