Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that some machomen believed to be sympathizers of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiem (AEE) constituency of the Central Region, on Wednesday, attacked New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters who were going for a candlelight procession to climax campaign in the area at Ajumako Asaasan.
One of the victims, Kwesi Bentsir, who was brutally assaulted by one of the machomen, Kweku Annanse, had his nose and upper lip cut off.
Briefing DAILY GUIDE, Bentsir said around 8pm on that day, NPP supporters were on a candlelight procession at Asaasan and on reaching the middle of the town, the machomen, led by Annanse, attacked them without any provocation.

He added that some supporters rushed him to the Ajumako police station where he was issued with police medical form to attend hospital and later reported back to the police.
