The Chief Executive officer of Ashgold, Kudjo Fianoo says it is too early in the season to declare Asante Kotoko as the uncrowned champions of the Glo Premier league.
To him, declaring Kotoko as winners is premature taking into account the number of matches remaining to close the chapter of the 2011/12 season.“It is football, and anything can happen, let’s be patient, at least for now and see what happens. Who thought United could dislodge City in the EPL? Kotoko are not
home and dry yet,” he said in an interview on Happy FM.
Kotoko are currently on the summit with 41 points after 19 games with eleven more games to play.
Accra Hearts of Oak, Berekum Chelsea, Aduana SC, All Stars, New Edubiase and Ashgold following in that order closely.
He revealed that he has declared an operation nine-point acquisition which he hopes will ensure that Ashgold finishes amongst the first four.
