I had this movie i wanted to do but had to throw is aside because of fund. Why did it become headache? Everyone i talked to asked me to cast some super star in the movie so i did a ground work and had three super stars in Nollywood listed as potential casts. I contacted all the three and that was where my problem began and ended. Two Million Naira was the least they agreed to take from me each.
My budget for the movie was barely one million Naira. In effect, to cast these three super stars, i need to have a budget of say Seven Million Naira. I abandoned the project but just this afternoon, some kind of miracle rekindled it. This time, Al Pacino himself called me and told me that he wanted to feature in my movie, while on line with him, he called Sylvester Stallone, Will Smith, Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry and this three hours conference call ended in all of them agreeing to feature in my movie. Tyler Perry suggested that we shoot the movie in Hollywood that he will cover the cost of my coming to USA with all my crew. (Chartered flight from Lagos) I imagined !!!
I didn’t know whether to fly or to jump but as i threw my cell phone up to the air and grabbed it as it fall back , i jumped from my bed and behold, i was dreaming. I woke up from this dream and all i could do was stare at the ceiling and shook my head in dismay. Why did God made dream? Is it not better that one sleep and just sleep than dream. My heart beat skipped several times, this headache took over my head and i became very angry but tried to be myself while i look for paracetamol.
Well, for real, ten minutes ago, i got a call from Frank Arturs and he told me that he saw my profile and liked it after someone told him about me and as an up coming producer with big dream that he will cast in any of my project. I told him that i don’t have millions yet, he laughed and said Mr. Mobis, count on me.
Who said that Dreams don’t come true.? You might dream of flying the aeroplane and end of with a free limousine ride. Whatever is your dream, as you read this today, i am not a prophet but i can boldly tell you that God has something special for you, you might be facing disappointment right now, don’t worry, your own Frank Artus is on the way.
The script i threw at the bottom of my desk is now lying in front of me.
