
Uncertainties surrounding the G6 tournament under the organization of the Ghana League Clubs Association [GHALCA] have been confirmed as the tournament has been postponed indefinitely, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The tournament is highly anticipated because it is meant to help invited clubs to prepare for the start of the league season and participation of some of the clubs in continental competition.
The Alhaji Raji-led GHALCA could not launch the event last week and reports are that the tournament has been postponed indefinitely by the organizers.
GHANAsoccernet.com has gathered that all the clubs that have been earmarked to take part in the event have been informed about the decision to postpone the tournament indefinitely.
Sources close to the shoddily organized Alhaji Raji-led GHALCA have revealed that the CEO of the major sponsors of this year’s event was taken ill and could not conclude the deal with the organizers.
The organizers have since decided to wait until the said sponsor gets well before they conclude arrangements and go ahead with the tournament.
GHANAsoccernet.com however gathers that some of the clubs billed for the G6 tourney may pull out due to its timing.
The 2014 GHALCA Top 4 which has metamorphosed into a G6 tournament saw AshGold winning the title.
