The controversies and leadership tussle trailing the igbozurume e.V Germany since two years now may after all be coming to an end in the end. The division, disunity and fracture within the cultural group is about to be a thing of the past as warring factions on both sides are set to come together this Saturday, 22nd of March 2014 in Hamburg in an effort to settle their differences, reunite ,re-strategise and reposition igbozurume on the task ahead. And in all this the effort of Dr, Victor Njimba, Ambassador Godwin Nwosu, Chief Sir J.B.Nweke (EzeUdo of Germany) and Nze Afam Dike must be commendable; these gentlemen has since the unfortunate division stood on the side of truth and justice always seeking for better opportunities to initiate back the true concept and objective of igbozurume against the forces of disunity and distraction that are hell bent on hijacking the cultural organisation to their selfish misplaced agenda.

In view of the above, I was opportune to have had a telephone conference discussion last night with to some igbozurume high ranking members led by Chief Sir J.B.Nweke (EZEUDO of Germany) and he categorically confirmed to me of the group readiness to make peace with all the splinter groups within igbozurume Germany, according to the high chief ?what is paramount is the interest of the Igbo?s in Germany and not any individual agenda?. In the same vein High Chief Dr,Victor Njimba a prominent member also supported EzeUdo adding that Igbozurume in Germany need peace and togetherness to move in the right direction, in his words ?This is time to settle our differences, make peace and move forward?. Among the High ranking Igbozurume members on the telephone conference was Ambassador Chief Godwin Nwosu who is reputed to be one of the founders and a key figure in Igbozurume Germany. He equally re-affirmed his unflinching support to make peace with other breakaway group. To the Ambassador any cultural organisation with a clear an agenda must strive to remain united as that will maximise its potentials and strengthens its set out objectives. He went further to mention the Just Started ?Nigerian National Conference? in which he said there is delegate representing the Nigerian German Diaspora community when other Nigerian Diaspora community else-where are adequately represented at the conference its only Germany community that is not there. Lack of unity according to him is the main reason we are under-represented in events in Nigeria; therefore he supports any move that will usher in peace within Nigerian Igbo Community for effective utilization of the cultural cum political organisation.

However from my conversation with this trio, I am as well highly convinced that genuine peace and re-unification devoid of ?Mago-Mago?, rancour Or any personal ego is what igbozurume Germany needs now (after-all) its our collective heritage and must not be left in the hands of few mischievous makers whose stock in trade is confusion, cries and endless conferences with no clear objectives, men probably suffering from ?misplaced priority syndrome? as seen on how they have ended up wanted to run a cultural organisation in a mafia style fashion where different of opinion are not tolerated, divide and rule reins with due process and procedure totally absent. .
For this writer, this is a time never like before when Igbo?s all over the world supposing should be on prayers. The logic has been the prevalent political situation in Nigeria as every pointer of discussion and politicking shows a potent danger ahead of 2015 general election. Hence Nigeria maybe heading to the precipice with Igbo?s at the receiving end of it all. While other Igbo Diasporas groups around the world are all busy meeting and putting strategy in place should Nigeria breaks into another civil war; what would be their responds and relevancy?; Igbozurume Germany as a divided house is busy stocked on frivolous issues such as unmerited chieftaincy titles in the process seemingly displaying lack of purpose, direction and focus whereas its roof are on fire at home. Anyway that will be surely another topic for another day

But in all we say let igbozurume Germany be for what its, a cultural gathering where all matters affecting our people in Germany and at home will be discuss and solution finds to address the challenges as it arises Those who are bracing up to use it as a personal tool to actualise misplaced, misdirected inordinate ambition are uninformed, delusional and will be disappointed. The true patriots, cultural ambassadors and men of integrity without any hidden agendas want to put an end to the needless lingering crises. So far its believed our collective interest when together will serve a better purpose unlike when there is division We the Igbo community in Germany can not afford to watch our collective heritage aimlessly being used to cause division, disunity and disintegration amongst our people and that?s why men of good-will who epitomised our culture and tradition in an intellectual capability who understands the limitation of its purpose and usage are out to make peace once and for all. As we approach Saturday we employ every igbozurume member to join hands to bringing peace back to the fold. The idea for reconciliation is perfect, excellent and wise and we will support the movement. And for general information anybody or group within Igbozurume who may not want this peace and unification exercise for whatever reason should be ready on Saturday to state clear their grievances or remain silent forever. Sound like Gay marriage announcement right? Thanks God in Nigeria Gays in Government banned Gay marriage.

Long Live Igbozurume Germany e.V! Long live Ndi Igbo in Germany!! And Long live German Republik!!!
