David Duncan
Tough talking coach David Duncan has stated emphatically that he does not take bribe, describing the difference between him and bribe-takers as that of darkness and light.
“I have never taken kick backs in my life as a coach; God is my witness. You can ask all the players I have worked with, and they will attest to that,” were his exact words on Happy FM.
According to Duncan, financial considerations come second when it comes to dealing with players.
“I didn’t take a cent from Jonathan Mensah and David Telfer’s move to Free State Stars in South Africa,” he added.
He believed God rewards hard work, and everything that happens to him as a coach are God’s plan and purpose for him, saying, “I have never put my trust in man, I am a born again tongue-talking and spirit-filled Christian.
“I see everything as falling in line with the plans and purpose of God in my career,” he added
He advised coaches who engage in such practices to desist from it.
Duncan was linked with the Hearts of Oak coaching job, but he allegedly turned down the offer citing fatigue, having coached for eleven years consistently and losing a brother and his father within a year.
