Orlando Pirates suppoters call it a blessing in disguise for Dauda as he replaces Meyiwa for Free State Stars clash.

Meyiwa was taken off against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday because of injury, with Dauda consequently making his Buccaneers debut off the bench.

According to Pirates, Meyiwa has since been battling cramps and as a result he will not make the trip to Free State, where Pirates take on Stars at Charles Mopeli Stadium. Kick-off is at?19h30?on Wednesday.

Dauda is expected to don the gloves again, while Brighton Mhlongo will provide cover.

Meanwhile Dauda thanked the Pirates fans for a warm welcome that he has got in a big team like Pirate, and he promised not to let them down.

He showed his intentions of being in the World Cup Brazil squad as he also vowed to stop Cristiano Ronaldo when they take Portugal should he get a chance.

?I am always happy to play against the best in the world, because when I do well against them, I will get the credit,? Dauda said.

?I am ready to save all his shots when we meet Portugal in Brazil,? added the Pirates goalie.
