    Eva Lokko, Vice Presidential candidate of the Convention People?s Party (CPP), is an alumna of Wesley Girls? High School, Cape Coast. She is married since 1982 and has two children; a son and daughter.

    She worked with the United Nations for 13 years and was the Regional Programme Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme?s (UNDP) first government cost-shared programme, Internet Initiative for Africa, which covers ten African countries.

    Eva Lokko is the first woman to head the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and also the first Satellite Communications Engineer in Ghana. She was an Assistant Broadcast Engineer and the Corporation’s first female engineer in 1972. She played a phenomenal role in the installation of the first colour television equipment for Ghana in 1985.
    She is archived in the historical books of journalism as the only female Director-General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, from September 2002 ? 2005, and succeeded Mr. Seth Ago Adjetey.
    She has been a Chairperson and member of several Boards, Committees and Associations as well as Advisory Boards, Restructuring and Strategic Plan Committees nationally and internationally. She has also chaired the UN Federation of International Civil Servants Association and the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Staff Council. She was a member of the UNDP News Advisory Board.
    Currently, Eva Lokko is a member of a Methodist Church Conference and Synod in Ghana and Chairperson of its Youth Advisory Board, Committee on Communications and Publications, Committee on Education and Youth. She also doubles as the National ICT Consultant of the Methodist Church Ghana and CEO of Totally Youth (NGO).
    She is also a member of its Strategic Plan Implementation Steering Committee and Restructuring Committee. Eva Lokko is a member of the MTN Customer Panel and the Board of the PSI on Distance Learning.
    She is the Vice Presidential candidate of Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, founder and leader of the Progressive People?s Party (PPP), and poised to wrest power in the December 2012 elections.
