A guild for entertainment journalists in Akwa Ibom state is underway, the association is a body that will comprise of bloggers, entertainment reporters, writers, editors and publishers, coming together to foster co-operation for the overall development of the entertainment industry.
Entertainment Writers Guild is inviting bloggers, entertainment reporters, writers, editors and publishers with local, national and international media houses to join the above named association of like minds. The union will foster the co-operation of practitioners, and give the nomenclature a strong voice in their society of operations.
The Entertainment Writers Guild will form an umbrella body of entertainment reporters, writers, editors and publishers with local, national and international media houses. The vision of the association is to use the media channels to promote entertainment and tourism in the state/ country where the association exists.
As a union of journalists, the association will be a watchdog for the entertainment industry, and report its activities at home and in the Diaspora, and will foster the adoption or identification with relevant chapels in chapters of the Nigerian Union of Journalists nationwide.
