“Peace comes from being able to contribute the best that we have, and all that we are, toward creating a world that supports everyone. But it is also securing the space for others to contribute the best that they have and all that they are” (~ HafsatAbiola)
6th of March of every 1st quarter of the year becomes a remembrance season for the young, old and aged Ghanaians to embrace the freedom that was won for us during Dr.Kwame Nkrumah’s Regime.
Today’s 2016 celebration is another opportunity for Ghanaians to thank our founding men and women, most especially the youth, for the sacrifices they made to launch this nation, Ghana.
Repositioning of Peace in Ghana is a functional measure whereby every citizenry of this country is made part of the march-on Peace sustainability before and after 2016 election.
We have the task to help reposition every Tom, Dick, and Harry Ghanaian to score continuous Peace points for the nation.
We the Youth Movement of REPOSITIONING PEACE in AFRICA have to commend His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama for innovatively involving Gold Coast police (Kumawood) to stage such a hilarious moment during the 59th Celebration.
It tells us all on how every institution is being made to play part in creating Unity among Ghanaians irrespective of the partial retrogression in our economy.
We cannot also achieve the purpose of our exercise without complimenting on how responsible our opposition parties have been with their discourse on governance, especially the biggest opposition N.P.P. Not forgetting the Peace Council.
To this end, Reposition Peace in Africa believes if it must be done, it must be done well. Peace messages have been mobilised by making Political leaders, Religious, leaders, the security, entertainment industry, Youth give their commitment to PEACE by signing autographs with peace messages on the GHANA Flag.
We stand to be Ambassadors of PEACE in most upcoming Youth Conferences where all messages captured will be unveiled to the Youth. Also, we will participate in community Youth programmes to announce messages from our leaders to the Youth and vice versa.
With an initiated project like this, we believe this year’s Independence Celebration has the basis of being a panacea for PEACEFUL election in 2016 (If all hands are brought on deck).
