Mr Arthur was found wanting in various media interviews in explaining why the brochure used in celebrating Ghana’s 59th independence anniversary was riddled with grammatical, spelling and factual errors.

He later apologised for the gaffe and took full responsibility, even though his staff said the ISD had nothing to do with the brochure this year.

He also confessed to forging the letterhead of the ISD on the statement he issued to communicate his apology which eventually led the Staff of the Department to petition the president for his dismissal.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has directed the Ministry of Communications to assume responsibility for the Flagstaff House Communications Bureau.
