Koku Anyidoho said these two groups have no choice than to accept the decision.

The NPP and the LMVCA waged war against the EC caling on it to ensure a new register is done for the 2016 election arguing that the 2012 voters’ register was bloated and not credible.
In view of their arguments, the EC set up an Independent Panel to look into the concerns of stakeholders on the Voters’ Register.
The panel however disregarded the idea for a new voters’ register.
The EC however assured the people of Ghana that it will continue to engage stakeholders to ensure that a clean and credible voters’ register is in place for the 2016 general elections through an inclusive and collaborative audit process.
“The Panel finds the arguments for a new register unconvincing and therefore does not recommend the replacement of the current voters’ register,” the statement added.
LMVCA seems not to be comfortable with the EC decision and the report presented by the panel. It has thus revealed its intention of seeking a court action to compel the EC to compile a new voter’s register.
But Koku Anyidoho in an interview on Anopa Kasapa on Monday said the EC must be appreciated for taking a bold decision not to compile a new voters’ register, and said that the EC has spoken and “we respect the decision of the EC.”
