The former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana, either failed to answer the questions put to him or he was completely evasive.

One of such issues was when the ‘Man of God’ introduced a supposed conversation between the lawyer for Mr. Paul Afoko at the Disciplinary Committee level, Martin Kpebu, Esq. and one of the petitioners outside of where the disciplinary committee was sitting . This bit was not pleaded the Defendant’s Statement of Claim and also in Asante-Antwi’s Witness Statement.
He could not point out from the record of proceedings of the disciplinary committee which he, himself, had tendered in evidence.
Rev. Asante-Antwi, a PhD holder also created the impression that he did not know whether Mr. Paul Afoko, the elected National Chairman of the party had been removed as a chairman or as a member of the party.
This man could not answer any question directly and kept wandering about the ‘bush’.
The next witness for the Defendants is Peter MacManu, a former national chairman of the NPP.
Case adjourned to 15/7/16
