Despite going behind to a smart finish from Fernando Torres, Manchester City, stormed back into their Community Shield tie to win 3-2.

It was a rather dull and crappy encounter in the first half, before Torres found the back of the net, after a mix-up in City?s defence. Shortly after that though, Chelsea began to unravel, as Branislav Ivanoic was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Kolarov.

The current champions of England, came out in the second half, smelling blood. Yaya Toure pounced on a poor clearance from John Terry and slammed a sweet finishe past Petr Cech. Carlos Tevez put Roberto Mancini?s men ahead, with a fantastic solo goal, before Nasri practically sealed the win with a tap in.

In the final minutes, Ryan Bertrand poked home after a goalkeeping error by Pantimilion. But it was only a consolation, as City held on to win the trophy they lost to United last year.
