Two early goals crushed Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich, on Sunday, won the German Super Cup when they defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

Croatian forward, Mario Mandzukic, bagged the opener with a neat finish from a Frank Ribery cross with just six minutes on the clock, while Thomas Mueller fired in the second goal when Arjen Robben shot rebounded off the post.

The win gave coach Jupp Heynckes a trophy for the shelf, after ending as second runner-up last season.

Bayern also reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in their home stadium, but lost to Chelsea F.C. on penalties (3-4), in what was only their second defeat to an English team in Munich, and their first at the Allianz Arena.

On Sunday, they at least put an end to a run of five straight defeats to Dortmund.

Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski, reduced the arrears 15 minutes before the final whistle.
