A National Chairman aspirant for the National Democratic Congress,Dan Abodakpi has said the current executives have slept for long and therefore need to be weeded out of their various portfolios come saturday.
Speaking to Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong on Accra-based Asempa FM’s afternoon political talkshow, Ekosii sen, the aspirant stated that the party’s executive body after gaining political authority have reclined hence weakening the party structures.
He explained that party structures of the National Democratic Congress has been very weak under the current administration blaming the various uprisings in the party on this administrative failure.
“The current administration slept immediately they won political power. This has weakened the various party structures. You could realize that the party faithfuls now believe they are just used as tools to win power and when that is done, they are neglected. See, the constituency level is very weak and we could even not get people to run for various constituency position,” he told Asempa FM.
He expressed his shock at the fact that leaders in the current administration are calling on the delegates to keep them in power after their shambolic show of leadership.
” I am shocked that these individuals are seeking to be reelected,they have failed the NDC and need to be weeded out of their current position. Some of these people go round saying the current Chairman has failed, but the administration is not only built on the chairman so it is a collective failure and they all need to be sacked” he said.
He called on the delegates of the National Democratic Congress to throw their weight behind him but should make it a point to revamp the administrative structure of the NDC come Saturday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
The ruling party, National Democratic Congress will on saturday go to the polls to select new party officials to spearhead the affairs of the party.
