Today, almost everybody claims to be born again. Someone attaches a sticker to the body of his vehicle, briefcase, house, etc, which reads: ?I am born again.? Meanwhile, in full glare of people most times, he removes his dresses in readiness for a physical fight at the slightest provocation while others attempt to pacify him like a street tout. In his neighbourhood, he hardly greets a number of people because he has scores to settle with them and is bearing malice; refuses to forgive.
What is the meaning of born again? We understand from the Bible in Genesis 1:26-30 that when God created our first parents, Adam and Eve, his intention was to fellowship with man regularly. Adam and Eve committed sin and sin separated man from God. God was determined to reconcile man back to himself. He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to come to the world to die for your sins and mine, and reconcile us back to God (John?3:16).
When you give birth to a child, there are certain things that you don?t have to teach the child like lying, etc. Naturally, the child will commit certain sins as time goes on if there is absence of godly parentage because he has sinful adamic nature. All of us came into this world with sinful adamic nature. ?For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God? (Romans?3:23). It is when you now understand the difference between good and evil, Jesus and the devil, you then, make up your mind and say: ?Now, I want to drop my sins. I want to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and saviour.? When Jesus comes into your life, what it means is that anything that Jesus cannot do, you can no longer do them. Jesus cannot steal, lie, cheat, fight, fornicate, bear malice, manipulate, deceive, hate, kill, etc. You can no longer do these things because you now carry a spirit called Jesus. You cannot be operating with a different spirit. That is the
?meaning of born again.
When you give birth to a child, it is not a secret. Everybody around knows that something has happened. But these days, someone says he has been born again. You ask ?When and how did it happen?? He says ?I can?t remember.? This is not possible. The experience is neither a joke nor a secret. When you give your life to Jesus, everybody around you will know that something has happened to your life. People will make comments like ?Is this you? You were used to drinking. I can?t see you do it again. You were a popular womanizer. What has happened to you?. You were a first class lair but I can?t see you lie again. What happened? Tell us; etc? Everybody around you will know that something has happened to your life. You too, will be always excited to tell people what Jesus has done to your life.
That is the meaning of born again. To be born again means you have been born a second time. It means you are starting life all over again. ?Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new? (2nd Corinthians5:17). It means you have become a spiritual new born baby before God.
Brother! Sister! Until you have this experience, you are an enemy of God. People might have known you as Pope, Bishop, Pastor, Prophet, Deacon, Deaconess, Apostle etc. Irrespective of any spiritual title they call you, as long as you are living in sin, you are an enemy of God. You are just a victim of the devil?s packaging in these last days which he is doing desperately to gather people that will suffer with him in hell.
These are the people that Jesus will say to: ?..I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity? (Matthew 7:21-23). They will respond: ?Ah! But I was on cable television, doing miracles in your name. Many people were running after me. They even know me in my street as a regular church person?. Jesus will say ?Get behind me, you malice bearer, you that refuse to forgive and use my name to do all kinds of things including extorting money from people.?
May this not be your portion in Jesus name! Amen! My dear! Everything that is happening in the physical realm was prepared from the spiritual realm. By this time yesterday, God knew that by this time today, you will be reading this write-up and receiving this message. God already knows where you will be by this time?tomorrow?and what will be happening to you. He is an all-knowing omnipresent God. You can never run away from his presence or succeed without him.
I don?t know if you are enjoying your current condition and the troubles of the devil; or you want to give your life to Jesus Christ. In case you want to give your life to Jesus, say this prayer in your heart right now:
?Lord Jesus! I come to you as I am. Have mercy on me. Please, write my name in the book of life. Take over my life and make me a better person in Jesus name. Amen! Congratulations!
