Ghana’s Under-17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens, have opened a training camp in Prampram as they step up preparations for a two-legged World Cup qualifier against Togo next month, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed.
The first leg will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé, with kickoff at 4:00 pm. The return leg follows six days later, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3:30 pm. The two matches form part of the opening round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) qualifiers for the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup, set for Morocco from October 17 to November 7.
Head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has assembled a 30-player provisional squad at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, where the technical team will assess fitness, tactical readiness and squad chemistry before naming a final group for the Togo ties.
Morocco will be hosting the Under-17 Women’s World Cup for the second consecutive time. The Black Maidens last appeared at the tournament in 2018 in Uruguay, where they reached the quarterfinals after winning all three group stage matches before falling to Mexico.
