?Ensuring effective disclosure and access to information, accountability and transparency processes in Bank financed projects ?. This is the theme of the regional workshop organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB) (http://www.afdb.org) from the?4th to 6th November 2013?in Accra, Ghana , which will bring together? various? stakeholders from West Africa. This sensitization and information sharing initiative is part of the Bank?s? ongoing efforts to promote transparency and good governance in its partnerships and activities with stakeholders.
The workshop will highlight? AfDB?s undertakings in these areas? by engaging stakeholders on the Bank?s new Disclosure and Access to Information (DAI) policy as well on the work of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Department (IACD) and the Compliance Review and Mediation Unit (CRMU). It will also present the Bank?s Open Data initiatives and new tools for tracking development results on the continent.
The regional workshop will be attended by representatives from various ministries and specialized government bodies, project implementation units, the media, private sector organizations, academia, civil society organizations active in matters of accountability, transparency, corruption, mediation and compliance review.
