Zidane headbutt earns statue

Move over, Iwo Jima Memorial and Rodin?s The Thinker! Joining the world?s collection of carefully crafted bronze statues depicting the great moments in human history is a new piece in Paris: Headbutt, a depiction of the life-changing moment when French soccer captain Zinedine Zidane was thrown out of the 2006 World Cup final for headbutting Italian player Marco Materazzi in the chest. You can watch the famous moment in the video above or gaze at the epic 16-foot statue at the Centre Pompidou. Already a favorite with tourists, Headbutt is our new favorite name for a piece of art.
