Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo has denied reports that he nearly drowned on set whilst shooting a movie on Tuesday at the Njul Guest House in Mankrong Nkwanta. The actor in an interview with DJ Roar on Kessben FM Friday afternoon in Kumasi said he was shocked to see photos he took on set for a movie poster on social media suggesting that he nearly lost his life.
Narrating what made him take the said pictures which have gone viral, the diminutive actor who vehemently refuted the story disclosed that the director of the movie asked him to stand in a pool to take photos for the movie poster which he obeyed. He continued that the director later pleaded with him to sleep on the floor for another shot which he did not hesitate to do only to see those pictures on social media platforms with different story.
According to him, he sees the rumour as a strategy the movie producer wants to use to hype the movie. Asked if he has confronted the producer to know his rationale for the publicity stunt, Dabo answered positively and continued that he has a good rapport with him. He added that he will not take any legal actions against him because of their relationship.
