
As part of NDC 2012 manifesto promise to promote the rapid development and deployment of the national ICT infrastructure work on the 780-kilometre fibre optic backbone facility on the Eastern corridor is progressing steadily.
240 kilometers of work on the project has been completed.
The project upon completion will expand internet broadband connectivity to more than 120 communities and towns along the route from Ho to Bawku.
Minister for Communications, Dr. Omane-Boamah announced this at the Seventh congregation ceremony of the Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) in Accra.
