Will there be peace in this world?

Aside the breakneck speed rate of the world?s technological advancement, higher increment of people?s interest in climbing to the utmost level of the educational ladder, enjoyment of higher standard of living among good number of people worldwide, among others, the world still lack another great benefiting character which since centuries, procuring it is agreeably very tedious ?world peace.

ISisThe phenomenon connotes non-existence of war or violence, existence of happiness, freedom, tranquillity and harmony by which nations, with general consensus willingly cooperate towards preventing warfare, everywhere in this world.

The case happens to be that we?re never kept safe from hearing sad news mostly relating to violence, crime, wars, explosions and disasters when we read the daily newspapers and listen to radios. Indeed, it not far from right when argued that no continent on this land of the living has gained the reception of perfect peace.

That is to say there is no absolute peace anywhere, if nothing at all, there is misunderstanding between people, even among common family. If this misunderstanding and other trivial conflicts make innocent people lose the precious lives within the so-called peaceful countries, then where lies absolute peace. Just as joints form a skeleton, likewise several thoughts, channels and certain steps come together to formulate peace ?the only most important target the world and its components wait achieve.

The first among the lot is love for one another. Love breeds compassion and compassion calls for care, care from persons to persons, groups to groups and from nations to nations. When we love each other we don?t envy, we don?t hate and we don?t fight. Should all these or any of these happen, then there?s no love. Many people, including children in some part of the world make skilful use of gun as well as the sword as part of their daily activities among themselves and towards others beside.

They turn their antagonism to other nations to revenge towards what they define to be unfriendly acts they have ever experienced from the latter. They also do that to reclaim their lost assets ?land and other resources. To these people, it is partially impossible to live without these weapons. Moreover, they see that as a mean of bringing about peace, stability, harmony, adherent to laws and fulfilling the world?s interest in general.

Unfortunately innocent blood becomes destructed whilst the guilty ones stay unhurt. Heads are cut off and others are paralysed and amputated, claiming to ensure peace. They?re pursuing no course than hailing the flag of chaos, hatred, war, injustice and devastation instead. Yes because none of these portrays the zeal of love. Love means to keep safe from harm. As a result of this, hands never cease wiping tears and been carried on the head in great discomfort.

The absence of love (as the greater pillar of world peace) has given birth to the use of aggression and increase in competition due to envy. This mental illness, hatred, apparently translates into severe destructible actions leading to the gradual collapse of world peace. Compassion, as originated from love, is the positive response to human suffering, not adding to human suffering instead. If we?re to realise the goals of peace and love for one another, then I do not know why at all the manufacture of nuclear weapons and their usage.

Aside the use of love as a necessity to materialize world peace, we yet don?t have to skip the immense responsibilities, both domestically and universally we hold to making the world a better abode for humanity. This is where the role of the youth calls for attention in spite of the enormous threat we encounter due to instability. This can be done through creativity, analysis, financing to bring our dreams into reality and other contributing responsibilities such as shaping institutions to serve human needs.

Firstly, they need to take to the rout of education, essentially to a higher level. This predominantly creates the realisation of the necessity of world peace. Secondly, it serves as a multi-dimensional mean of creating opportunities. For instance, it creates and improves their political leadership capabilities, therefore taking over the vacant leadership offices, particularly to drastically eradicate the creation of international wars and conflicts.

Upon advocating the role of the youth towards world peace, my dear readers should not also deny the fact that we on our own selves are the enemies against our progress. In other words, it is but the youth with whom these guns, sword and other dangerous weapons are seen in their palms almost every day and then, especially within the developing countries. Hardly will the old and the underage do the same. To let the past take care of itself and be focus, people with the upcoming generations should refrain and push the philosophy of peace ahead.

Acceptably, this objective can be accomplished through our change of attitudes towards other individuals, religions and a severe change in irrelevant beliefs and practices. The youth needs to ignore imperialism and recognise the importance of living together while defending the struggle for peace and non-violence.

Then to world leaders, comprising of leaders in politics, humanitarian and religions should commence on a rigorous pursuit of closer cooperation towards the recommendation of universal unification. Another significant role to be retained by the world leaders is the respect for human rights for the establishment of world peace and non-interference of nations? domestic administrative proceedings. This notwithstanding, I adore the highly contributing efforts some major personalities put forth to achieving world peace, even though peace as it stands now has not gotten to the most preferable state.

They include Mikhail Govbachev of the then Soviet Union, Nelson Mandela of South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi of India, non-violent civil right leader who additionally promoted an end to discrimination through an inclusive philosophy of non-violent protest and mutual co-operation ?Martin Luther King, a Kenya peace activist ?Tegla Laroupe and Thomas Jefferson, former vice president of the United State of America. He said ?we love and value peace; we know its blessings from experience. We abhor the follies of war and we are not untried in its distresses and calamities?.

Sadly enough, majority of these former world leaders have passed away many years ago without seeing the fruit of their fight. Emergence of first and Second World War became successful dating around this era. Nevertheless, their immense effort cannot be overemphasised. If leaders of the twenty-first century should instil on the momentum of attaining world peace, then politicians

and religious leaders should firstly make judicial utilization of their opportunities to creating friendly climate for humanity and shun intensive personal interest of attaining wealth not for themselves alone but for families and friends, instead of securing the interest of the masses. If these leaders should continue to embrace self-centred approach to life and constantly manipulate people for their own self-interest, we may gain temporally short term advantage, but in the long run we all will fail bitterly to achieve even limited happiness and world peace will be absolutely out of the scene.

Further, the self-centred approach will compel the spirit of anger to be illuminated and huge sense of vengeance as a respond of been cheated. Religious leaders should again eschew the eager for fame, spearheading unnecessary beliefs, effort to establish supremacy and the fight for uniqueness among denominations; world peace is what is paramount. If so paramount as said, then the major wings of conflicts, instability, rude, destruction, loss of hope and the most hurdle of peace, which is war, happening in almost every distance around the globe has to receive a quick and unfriendly blow from each and every single inhabitant of the world.

Apparently, opposing racial and tribal differences is as well regarded as another healthier element to stop terror and avoid war. The phenomenon has of course gained local, national and international interest and attention, both negatively and positively.

The idea of ?black and white? has indeed sent us far away from achieving world peace. People boast of been unique, more capable and sensible while others think to be otherwise, yet instil on protecting their integrity as they care less or not at all about others. This division has over the years proved to be an internal source of anxiety and frustration.

However when we?re to focus on the dearest mean instead, these more capable, wealthy and more powerful nations should put aside their vested interest and come and serve the less powerful nations with the truly selfless spirit. We therefore confidently head towards achieving world peace.

The whole issue about peace boils down to the fact that whether belonging to more evolve species like humans or to simpler one such as animals, all beings primarily seek for peace, comfort and security. Life is incomparably as dear and precious to mute animals as it is to any human being; even to the simplest insect strives for protection from dangers that threatens its life. Just as each one of us want to live and does not want to die, so it is to all other creatures in the universe. Peace is therefore unimaginably important to everyone and everything to the extent the world can?t actually afford to let it go.

Its merits constitute protection and nourishment of vision to progression. There are uncountable number of people of who are artificially and naturally endowed with a lot of capabilities, wanting to show them off to the world but are unfortunately faced with many impediments ?war, conflicts, misunderstanding, inaccessibility to fundamental necessities, and many more. Yes because these people are beaten, murdered and others shot to death.

These innocent once are buried with no sense of love and are made to claim their talents, knowledge and intense wisdom in their graves forever. On the contrary, those fortunate to claim their capabilities on earth have very little or no opportunity to do as they wish they could. Vision is therefore exposed to threat, shattered and hence become hardly accomplishable. Peace however preserves every single of these endowments into reality, where everyone gets sound mind to undertake all necessary and benefiting activities.

Additionally, peace causes severe reduction of poverty. Peace unavailability has undeniably contributed to the very existence of today?s world canker, poverty. This is due to the fact that people avoid to be victimised by choosing to be indoors as soon as the day resumes. This happens for days, weeks and even months. Those who master courage and endurance do so at their own risk; or if saved, within very limited duration.

Adding to that, instability due to lack of peace, has caused destruction, ceasing and snatching away numerous limited properties and wealth people have strived to attain with pains. The question that naturally arises therefore is that should people be kept indoors permanently or to be outdoor within a very short period of time, then what will be the fellow source of income; or should the person work out of profound fear and uncertainty, then where does the quality output for better payment for survival lies.

It is still acceptable that peace promote universal unity. When there is no peace, each and every one tend to be selfish, trying hard to serve personal interest rather than group interest. What happens is whether or not other person will eat, drink or is safe in general sense is least thought of. Individuals in nations are put in ascender indefinitely in the name of safety, at critical stages, couples separate, intimate friends turn to be foes, and ties and bonds break apart.

However the realm of peace promotes unity, where there is flexibility in mobility ?a significant medium where a person can get to know the state of his fellow human being, and acquiring wealth as well. Furthermore the sense of unity strengthens intimacy among couples, friends and families. It also breaks the obstacle of fear in individuals and workers and thus activates folks towards greater achievements.

It is yet incomplete if not mentioned that peace drastically reduces the high incidence of death among nationals. Whether intentional or unintentional, thousands of people lose their precious lives daily through diverse means, even though panic. It is sad yet important to realise that every single soul whether young or old, male or female, educated or illiterate, royal or a slave, rich or poor, even the unborn plays significant role to the world?s growth and its serious search for absolute peace.

Hence, so long as the world need generous hands, ready minds and good hearts to push the agenda ahead, so as much regard should be granted to any of these in order to save enormous lives and to ensure perpetual progress towards our wrestle for peace. Peace has indeed gained limitless benefits such as stated above.

All said and done, nature had a greater wish for an absolute universal peace, but has further given greater free will to humanity and that has consequently given rise to greater destruction and insecurity in the world where people find pleasure in creating havoc and insisting on all forms of predicaments. On the 4th June, 2015, Ghana experienced an unforgettable torture in its administrative city where this torture succeeded in claiming hundreds of souls through an extremely painful manner.

Sad enough, children under the age of eight and even pregnant women were all victimised. Likewise in other African and several European countries (such as France, Denmark, Germany, Italy, and many others), have experienced many similar and totally different tortures, commonly, earthquakes. But the holy Bible says in John 14:27 that ?peace I leave you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and not be afraid?. The holy Quran further states that ?? whosoever kills a person ?unless it be for killing a person or for creating disorder in the land?it is as if he had killed all mankind; and whoso saves one it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.? (Quran 5:33).

In chapter 4, verse 136, the holy Quran further states that even if you have to testy against yourself or your parents or your most loved ones, then you must do so in order to uphold justice and to uphold the truth. All these statement are meant to admonish all of us to stick to ensuring peace. As a mean to implant the seed of peace in the world, He has erected representatives and world peace promoters. Gospel preachers, other relevant religious teachers, writers and other several peace makers cannot be left out as part of these representatives. Nonetheless the world of today has excelled to making these mechanisms less effective and has instead put more effort to elevate chaos.

In spite of all these, Peace still leaves very close to the world. Thus makes the world still capable of embracing absolute peace. I say this and glad to be supported by my reader that the world as it stands today is by our own making. If so wish to build a lovely one, then I guess we simply have to value and switch to the next preferable choice. Let us in each day consider these unfamiliar questions that did we do anything against nature or ourselves; did yesterday have anything better to offer life, or this day is promising; do we have any hope for tomorrow. Upon asking yourself, see whether you are free from blame or fully optimistic. Our ability to do so will pave a greater way to world peace. True because the seed you plant today definitely decid

es what fruit you harvest tomorrow. Let us remember and accept the fact that no single individual, regardless how mighty, effective, powerful, strong and capable he is, is enough to bring about world peace. It pays each and every one, no matter his state of living has his angle of responsibility. It is hence advisable no one sits idle unconcerned, expecting world leaders, religious leaders, the youth, the rich or the world?s upcoming generations to see to it that the most spicing, satisfactory, costly and beloved option ?peace exists.
