Rabiu says the Black Stars will bounce back

Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has vowed that the Black Stars will bounce back strongly at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations next year after their shambolic showing at the World Cup.

The Russia-based enforcer admits that the Black Stars failed to live up to expectation following their first round exit at the tournament in Brazil.

The former Liberty Professionals players says despite the disappointment of the World Cup, they want to focus their attention on next year?s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco to salvage some image for the Black Stars.

Rabiu who played all three Black Stars Group D matches at the tournament in Brazil, vowed that the Black Stars will be back to their glory days.

?Not how we wanted to end our World Cup adventure. Thanks for the amazing support you gave us. Time to focus on qualifying for AFCON 2015. We will be back,? Rabiu said.

With players like Kevin-Prince Boateng, Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien set to leave the Black Stars, coach Kwesi Appiah will be counting on the likes of Rabiu and Agyemang Badu for their future assignments.
