Labour Party gubernatorial candidate Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala has assured the people of Oyo State of steady development and progress if elected as governor of the state
The former governor while participating in a radio programme in ibadan said his government of 2007-2011 put in place measures that enhances economic development and this he will continue if he get back to office on may 29.
He recall how he opened up some roads in approved land for some industries and see to the establishment and expansion of some companies in the state to pave way for economic development.
Alao Akala maintained that the people of Oyo state are not happy with the present government because he initiates policy without consulting or considering the impacts on the people thereby making life difficult for the entire populace in the state.
He explained further that he was invited by people who want the progress of the state to come and contest under the platform of Labour Party which is a conglomeration of the good people from the major political party in the state.
” Labour party is not new in Oyo state but its population and popularity swell up when we decided to create a strong platform that will liberate our people from the hand of the APC government that care less about their welfare and society”
He promised to continues with the good work of Ajimobi if elected to succeed him”. I will continue with his good policies and drop the bad ones that makes people to suffer, I will do things differently in such a way that all and sundry will be a living testimony of our good deed if elected”
