A letter signed by a Deputy General Secretary, George Lawson, the NDC said that its absence was not deliberate especially when it is expecting all political parties including the NPP at its Special Delegates Congress in Kumasi on the 30th of August.
Explaining further, George Lawson said, the?invitation from the NPP came when all officials including the National chairman were out of town on official duties. “Unfortunately, the party officer in charge of mails failed to bring the letter to the attention of the appropriate officer for the necessary action to be taken.”
The NDC therefore asked the NPP to accept their heartfelt apologies and allow the existing peace between the two parties prevail.
