Hello guys, I am here again with my wahala (Opinion), regarding some dumbest comments on this new song by R2Bees – Lobi.
Thursday 25th, September 2014 marked a new dawn in the life of?R2Bees, dropping a timeless bomb produced by?KillBeatz.
My reason for saying this is simple, because for anyone who understand the music business, you will know the brothers made their greatest move in their career.
My colleagues are surprised at how some dumb haters can be in Ghana.?What they love to hear is these noisy sounds which contains senseless lyrics from the beginning till the end. It?s really heart breaking. For me I am proud of you guys, R2Bees.
It?s a pity that many Ghanaian fans know nothing about what good music should sound like; reading through comments on Lobi, new single released singles and video expected soon, most especially on Facebook, I felt so bad that at this age some Ghanaian music fans can?t appreciate good music.
I guess i now believe in this saying ?Nothing you can do to satisfy people?. Truth be said, this is one of the greatest moves ever from you. R2Bees; take that from me. Reading through the comments, it?s clear those dropping bad comments, know nothing about good and classic music. A song like?Lobi will rank much income in terms of publishing. Not just that, it can be a great material for music supervisors seeking good songs for placement in new projects and finally it will soon become every party and club anthem.
One of the dumbest comments stated:?R2Bees no get any danceable song, that is why i love Guru, Pooley 4 lyf.? My question is, what?s your take on this, real music fans? Let us wake up and support good music.? Good music is one that is timeless. Listen to most songs by 2face, Wizkid, John Legend, Daddy Lumba and the likes, and you will know why most of their songs last forever than a song that elapses for 3 months.
Our artistes keep singing about winning Grammies but none of them are making the right moves. LOBI is one of the greatest sounds from R2Bees in their entire career. Fans of good music will appreciate their effort for this classic, if dummies can?t.
Soon when the ‘Lobi’ song becomes parties and club anthem, I am sure those condemning it will surely find themselves grooving to the song.
Everyone is entitled to their Opinion. This is mine and I believe many fans of good music and music heads will agree with me on this. The brothers already said it on the track ?Checki mi oo?, listen to the lyrics. One thing is sure to win the global market you have to be global and the brothers had been international for a while but they want to go global. I applaud their move and this will take them even more than international.
My artiste, Kofi Mante came back from Canada not long ago and he was telling me how these whites support the African drums. No wonder FOKN Bois, King Ayisoba, Davido, and the rest are highly recognized there. What am saying is, these songs will take us far. The all kicks songs like it was produced by Beats by Dre, Future, Dj Khaled, Swizz Beats and the rest wont take us anywhere. TheSE noisy songs that give an artiste visa to perform outside will only be respected in the eyes of these Ghanaians there. However, FOKN Bois, King Ayisoba, Davido?and the likes can pull white people to watch their performances. Why is it so? Because they portray more African and that is what we need to start campaigning on. .
A song like Aye by Davido is not that extra ordinary but see how it has trended, same as Eminado by Tiwa Savage, same as Johnny by Yemi Alade, keep naming and stop criticizing good songs. Nigeria will always be ahead of us in terms of Entertainment and the fact is simple.
It is so because 80% of their entertainment projects contain their local ways. In movies, they are far ahead and in music, they are far ahead.
This is why Lobi is a song that will take Ghana far and for that matter, i wasnt expecting to hear all these heart breaking comments. Instead, i was expecting everyone to show support and love for what these brothers have done. Lobi? is taking an international award. I said it and you will all witness.
I?m sure most of the people dropping the dumb comments are not their real fans and probably those who can?t buy album or even singles but looking for friends who have songs to share with them. Let us change our attitude as music fans, it?s not easy doing music, shooting videos and spending money promoting. So haters please kindly change your ways.
