Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Royal Ladies routed University of Ghana (UG) by 21 goals to nil in the Greater Accra Hockey League at the weekend, forward Vivian Narkuor scoring twelve.
The Week 2 demolition ranks among the heaviest results of the round and sent Narkuor to the top of the league scoring chart. Her twelve goals also handed GRA their biggest win of the young season.
Narkuor shared the credit after the final whistle, saying, “many thanks to my teammates for the great support and work.” She called the display a complete team effort and the occasion unforgettable.
The forward is no stranger to silverware. She has helped drive the GRA Royal Ladies to five continental titles, and she sees the domestic league as a launchpad for the Africa Cup for Club Championships (ACCC).
GRA’s men edged Legonite by a single goal in their Week 2 fixture. Elsewhere, Fire Service and Army drew one all, while Ark Ladies and Police Ladies finished goalless.
The Exchequers beat Police men two goals to one, and Prisons overpowered University of Ghana nine goals to nil. The UG Ladies will look to regroup before their next outing.
