The 7th edition of The Headies held at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday, October 20, 2012 celebrated deserving music stars.
Hosted by soulful diva, Omawumi Megbele, and Chocolate City rapper, M.I Abaga, the awards crowned top winners of the night including first time winner, Vector for Best Rap Single and Lyricist on the Roll; and Square for Album of the Year and Best R&B-Pop Album.
Wizkid was awarded The Artiste of the Year and also the Revelation of the Year. Meanwhile other winners include MAVIN Records’ Wande Coal and Tiwa Savage for Best Vocal Performance Male and Female.
Davido was awarded The Next Rated award together with a brand new Hyundai Sonata. The award night had live performances by Timi Dakolo, Bez, Praiz and EME all stars.
Although absent at the awards due to the on going Felabration, Femi Kuti was inducted into The Headies Hall Of Fame.
