Gov.Peter Obi today paid tribute to His Eminence Cardinal Francis Arinze, extolling his “iconic, historical and international value as a Nigerian, a prince of the Catholic Church and an eminent son of Anambra.” SSG Oseloka H. Obaze who represented Gov. Obi, conveyed those sentiments at an event of select guests marking the opening of the official residence of the Cardinal’s retirement residence in Anambra.? Gov. Obi prayed that God would grant Cardinal Arinze “good health and long life, so that many more Nigerians belonging to the clergy and laity could also stand on his shoulders and benefit from his inspirational guidance and tutelage.”? He commended all those who made it possible to build a retirement residence in Anambra for Cardinal Arinze.?
Each guest received an autographed copy of the Monsignor Chidi Denis Isizoh’s compendium of? Cardinal Arinze’s ministry at the Vatican,? titled “Cardinal Francis Arinze-? The Church Pathfinder of Dialogue and Communion”.
