Senator Julius Ali Ucha has emerged victorious in the just concluded All Progressive( APC)Primary Election held in Abakaliki.
Senator Julius Ali Ucha defeated two other contestants by scoring 891votes,Chief Ede Eze,848 votes,Dr.Steve Egbo,136 votes.
Announcing the result of the election,the Chairman of the Electoral Panel and the Returning Officer,Chief Godfrey Yilleng said ? those who contested and lost,it is not lost,you have promoted the Party,So,no victor,no vanquish?
To the winner,Senator Ucha,he reminded him that all of them are moving together as a Party and thus advised him to visit his colleagues on the ground that his victory was only at the primary level.
He said that Ucha was no more an aspirant but the Party candidate with which they hope to occupy the State Government House on 2nd May,2015.
Addressing the gathering Senator Ucha thanked all those that participated in the electoral process and pledged his readiness to work with all and sundry, to make their vision of arresting power from PDP a reality.
The APC State Chairman,Mr.Ben Nwaobashi said he was happy that issue of who becomes the Party flag bearer for the gubernatorial election has been laid to rest and thus called on the Party Faithful to work as a team to enable them win the 2015 General Election.
