According to Kumasi Polytechnic TEIN Chapter, they are saddened by comments being made by people about issues they themselves don’t understand very well, describing UDS TEIN’s statement as a commentary from their point of view as to what transpired on that faithful day forgetting that the group is Governed by laws and procedures.

“Did we hear them calling the (NEC) of our party self centered individuals?”

“…Did they describe the constitutional and democratic rights of Mrs Abigail Elorm Mensah as ‘useless allegations’? That is unfortunate and most unintelligent!”

They asked some questions and demanded answers to them. “Our question to them is ; Do we have Recounts in the quidelines of the said elections? Our free advice to our sister Tein from the UDS Navrongo campus is to desist from this kind of needless press releases. Again they have to retract the statement (Self Centered individuals) as they described our (NEC) to be! Again describing the constitutional rights of Mrs Abigail Elorm Mensah to challenge the result and to seek for recounting as useless is most unfortunate and that it should not emanate from the intellectual wing of our party.”

The Kumasi Polytechnic TEIN is of the view that, the refusal of the candidate’s proposed recounting is the root cause of the problem they are facing, callin g on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NDC to meticulously peruse through the petition presented to them by Miss Abigail Elorm Mensah.

“We therefore call on all our colleague TEIN executives to desist from these kind of jejune acts and allow (NEC) to decide, for who ever they declare will definitely be an Akatamansonian and some of us are ready to support and work with the person.”
