Cenk Sahin scored a brace as hosts Turkey thrashed El Salvador 3-0 in their 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup encounter on Saturday night.

Salih Ucan scored the other goal as Feyyaz Ucar?s side stormed to the top of Group C in a convincing manner.

Sahin was heavily involved in the build-up to the opening goal in the ninth minute as he broke through on the right wing before playing a low cross for Ucan to bury his first-time shot.

El Salvador did well to keep the score unchanged until the break; however, the hosts doubled their lead a minute into the second half with Sahin firing into an empty net after rounding the goalkeeper.

The Istanbul BB winger grabbed netted his second goal of the match in the 63rd minute as he beat the offside trap before finishing with a left-footed shot into the far post.

Turkey lead the group with three points, followed by Colombia and Australia, while El Salvador have more work to do as they occupy the last spot with zero points.
