Palpable affray hits Eleme commmunity over land dispute between Okrika and Eleme communities in Rivers state in a recent fracas that left many with severe injuries.
Daily Times learnt that bottled trouble was let out on monday in Onne, Eleme local government from youths suspected to emanate from Ogu in Ogu/Bolo Local Government. pand?monium broke out in onne as the youths suspected to emanate from Ogu launch an attack in onne, a part of Eleme creating commotion and disorder in the community but onne youths was said to have counter the Okrika aggression.
Investigations revealed that the lingering trouble between the two neighbouring communities, Eleme and Okrika is as a result of land ownership. Meanwhile Security forces have intensified patrol in the area to prevent further break down of law and order
