A Sekondi Magistrate court on Friday sentenced a ?trotro? driver, Anthony Cudjoe, to a fine of GH?240 or in default spend 30 days in jail for traffic offences.
He was charged for picking passengers at unauthorized places, traffic obstruction and without possessing his vehicle licence.
Cudjoe pleaded guilty to all the offences.
Chief Inspector Joseph Baidoo of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly told the court presided by Mr. Kwame Polley that the convict picked passengers at an unauthorized place at Kojokrom opposite the main lorry station instead of the approved lorry station allocated by the assembly.
His conduct, Inspector Baidoo said, caused congestion and difficulty in free movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
The prosecution said when the city security guards asked for his licence, he failed to produce it and was subsequently apprehended and arraigned. GNA
