Thermarest Prolite Your Ideal Self-Inflatable Sleeping Pad

Are you an outdoor lover? Is the idea of sleeping in the open trilling you and ringing bells in your heart? Then you know what I mean, and you also know the importance and need of a proper pad to make sure your body, mind and spirit are really in ‘good hands’.

Thermarest Prolite makes it happening; it’s the standard three season outdoor sleeping pad providing, in a single item, all that I request to make my time outside an exciting, and unforgettable open-air adventure. Many long years ago, in Seattle, three men got together to work out an idea to definitely change the structure of any backpacker’s journey, thus offering mankind the chance to rest as peacefully and graciously as a forest god or goddess. They made a solemn vow to create the lightest, smallest, warmest, and thickest self-inflatable sleeping mattress for mountaineering first and the rest of the kind second. Succeeding was simpler then expected, and soon the genius’ light bulb started glowing in the dark and cold recesses of an engineers’ mind. There it was! ‘Let’s toast together some open-cell foam, with air-tight fabrics and a common plastic valve and see what comes up’, said the inner voice of the architect to his brave alchemist companion, ‘and send someone out to test it’. So they did and the third man went. Up he goes, up to the snowy mountain peaks to challenge the eternal hoary glaciers. That first mount-climbing, self-inflating mattress proved itself worthy enough and out of it new breeds of Thermarest Prolite came soon to light spreading wildly and happily across the globe. And happy we are, so happy to be safely, comfortably, and softly stretching down out there under a starry night, or over a dew-drenched green meadow, or inside a soaking wet thick cloud of humidity that even closing our eyes feels like we’re missing something. But we can blissfully let it all go and drowning in the restoring womb of the infinite. It weighs only 320, or 460, or 680 grams (11 oz, or 1 pound, or 1 pound 6 oz), less than my filled water bottle. I could even carry it in my pocket, on my way back, after having dripped my blood, sweat, and tears on the way up. And I tell you, in such a quivering moment, after reaching the top, that self-inflating feature is a blessing from heaven. Then I sit down on my pad assuming the lotus posture, I breathe in the cosmos and breathe out my tiredness, and a few minutes later I’m back to life anew, ready to enjoy and receive all that I came there for.
