Arsene Wenger was full of joy on Monday morning as Theo Walcott had his first full training session after nine months of injury.

The 25-year-old winger suffered a cruciate ligament in his left knee in Arsenal’s 2-0 FA Cup win over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs on January 4th.
Walcott missed Arsenal’s run in last season, the FA Cup finals against Hull City at Wembley and England’s 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign in Brazil where the Three Lions were exited in the group phase.

The midfielder could not hide his feelings after training as he posted on his instagram page, saying,” First full training session after nine months …… feeling good!!!!!!,” he wrote.
Also returning from injury on Monday was German youngster Serge Gnabry who provided the covering up for Wenger in Walcott absence last season.

With injuries to captain Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, and lately Mesut Ozil, Arsene Wenger should count his stars to have two of his trusted midfielders revering in time ahead of the Hull City.
However, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Olivier Giroud could make a quick return than expected after a successful operation on his leg.

The 28-year-old central forward picked up a foot injury in the 2-2 draw game against Everton in August and was expected to return late December.
“Olivier Giroud is recovering very well”

“I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly,” he said.

Arsene Wenger is weighing up the possibility of playing the two strikers together on Giroud’s return.

“Welbeck and Giroud can play together in the centre or separately,” Wenger said.

“Welbeck also played on one side to Manchester United. Welbeck played in the same team with Rooney and van Persie. He can play down the sides,” he added.
