Valley View University, a Private University in Ghana noted for its Christian value has been turned into a safe haven and a hub for ‘terrorists’ students who have become major threats to the lives of both students and lecturers of the University.

A gory incident occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 revealing the extent to which the known ‘terrorists’ in the school operate, whilst the Vice Chancellor, Dean of Students and other top management officials seat aloof and pretending not to be aware of the increasing rate of terrorism on ten school campus.
On Tuesday October 28, 2014, Dr Isaac Owusu Danquah, a Total Quality and International Business lecturer of the school was left at the mercy of a 26year old regular student, Prince Ofosu Poku, BBA in Management student, who turned the lecturer’s face into a punching bag and beat him to pulp, inflicting severe injuries on the lecturer’s face.

Investigations conducted into the whole incident revealed that, on that fateful Tuesday, regular students of the University were preparing to take their mid-semester examinations, and whilst everybody was seated awaiting the question and answer booklets from the invigilator, who happened to be Dr Isaac Owusu Danquah, the “Rambo” of the University, Prince Ofosu Poku who was also supposed to write the paper on that day, appeared improperly dressed in shorts and a pair of bathroom slippers.

Hi dressing attracted the lecturer’s attention and he demanded that Prince Poku leave the hall and dress properly before coming to sit for the examination. As if the lecturer was a targeted prey, which indeed he was, as our investigations revealed, Prince Poku landed a dirty blow on the lecturer’s face and breaking his sunglass in the process.

According to eye witnesses, the situation on that day was so gory that students who were in the hall for the examination all looked on in amazement and in fear.
Not satisfied with the rounds of blows he landed on the lecturer’s face, Prince Poku then looked around, picked a stick and moved to the car park where he identified Dr Isaac Owusu Danquah’s car and vandalized it, breaking the windscreen, the back screen as well as the side glasses.

But unfortunately, this behaviour attracted no comment not even a single query from the Vice Chancellor or the Dean of Students whom, according to information, are allegedly behind the student’s actions.
Further checks have revealed that Prince Poku who is also in charge of the University Gym was once suspended from the school for engaging in activities that do not conform to the school’s rules and regulations, but returned to the school few months after even though he had not finished serving the period he was given for the suspension.
We have also established that, even though the incident was reported to the Oyibi Police they have done nothing as they failed to take action. Their lackadaisical attitude towards the whole incident, according to sources, is as a result of the close relationship between them and Prince Poku.

There is also an allegation that the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Students are manipulating things to ensure that the case goes nowhere.

It however emerged that the Adenta Police which is also interested in ensuring that the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Students wishes are granted called for the case docket from Oyibi, and even though the culprit, Prince Poku was not arrested, a bail had been granted for him, and now moving as a free man.
This paper has gathered on authority that some other lecturers are billed to face similar fate to what Dr Danquah had suffered, since according to sources, Prince Poku and his gang of terrorists are planning to assault other lecturers in the school.

It has also been gathered that, Prince Poku who has made himself the so untouchable, on several occasions stormed the girls’ hostel and collect their mobile phones, keep them and return them at will.
Even though this had been reported to the University authorities, nothing has since been done about it, therefore Prince Poku is operating with a heart full of hope that he is untouchable.

He is also alleged to be in possession of a gun which he uses to threaten other students. Although it is not too clear, there are allegations that some robbery and mobile phone snatching activities that do go on around the University, along a bush road near the school, are being perpetrated by a gang of students being led by Prince Poku.

But the question many students keep asking is whether the position being taken by the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Students will serve the interest of justice.

Whilst some are condemning the incident, others are appealing to the IGP to call for the case file from Adenta and conducted own investigation into the incident to ensure justice prevail.
